Greg Griffith is a multi-disciplinary artist: painter, sound designer, and composer based in Brooklyn, NY. Griffith has exhibited throughout New York and his work is a part of several private collections. Between a studio practice and four children, life is busy and full of Inspiration.

 

Griffith’s representational paintings could be described as pithy entries in a visual diary. The works in this series draw inspiration from Griffith’s everyday life; family, daily experiences, and private musings. Each of the paintings is rendered with restraint, using minimal details without veering towards abstraction. The paint handling is flat and non-painterly, employing overlapping opaque hues to form hard edge shapes that convey space, depth, and emotion.
