Rebecca Lipsitch is a clothing designer and artist based in Boston as well as New York. In September of 2017, Contello Clothing began, which stands for "Contemporary Yellow." The idea behind the brand is to revolutionize the intersection between art, design and fashion. Rebecca strives to create clothing with hand painted and silkscreened designs, that represent contemporary street fashion, abstract designs and more. Rebecca feels that being able to work both in Boston and New York creates a great base for inspiration, and are both quite prominent epicenters of style, which she says helps provoke her ideas. For this collection, Rebecca strived to create pieces that connected femininity with both passion and affection. She wanted to use different clothing items to represent these ideas, so that the owner of the item is able to choose.
