Nana SRT

NANA SRT is Nana Sakura Rosalia Tinley who spent the past twenty years as a casting agent, providing dancers to the commercial industry.

Self taught on her father’s Nikon FM camera as a teenager, Nana kept her love for photography alive as a pastime throughout the years, until it slowly crept to the forefront again.

Over the years, Nana has photographed many artists, such as Adamski, Lee Scratch Perry, Nick Cave, Florence Welsh, and live concert photography of Prince, The Revolution, Sonny Eriksson, Swamp Dogg, Rodriguez, and many more.

Nana continues to be drawn to performance and portrait, seeking individuality and beauty, originality and excitement, particularly in dance.

She started exhibiting her work in May 2019 at TOAF NY and Chicago, and rounding up her first year, Nana’s current SPARKLES series is on view at Orchard Gallerie (NY) and in her first solo show at The Walls in London, running from 05 December through to 31 January, 2020.

In 2019 she started working on her current series SPARKLES.

SPARKLES is a limited edition series, available either on Fine Art archival paper or on C-type, mounted on Dibond.

All works are signed and numbered on the reverse.

SPARKLES

SPARKLES is inspired by movement, feminine beauty, and the power of transition. This series is following Nana’s many years of working in the dance industry. SPARKLES depicts the dancers’ diversity and individuality within movement – a fleeting moment in time captured, allowing us to reflect and dwell upon. Each dancer is assigned a different colour.

The series is shot in-camera only, with no digital post-manipulation.
